Meet the Chef

Chef Hunter Hallmark was born and raised in Western North Carolina. He attended The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where he studied Business Management. Hunter later earned an International Culinary Arts degree at the Art Institute of Charlotte.

Hunter’s career has taken him all over the High Country as a chef at places like The Gideon Ridge Inn, Chetola Resort, & Grandfather CC.

For the last decade Hunter has worked up and down the east coast from northern Maine to the south Caribbean and everywhere in-between as Private and Personal Chef.

His love for cuisine is fueled from his Southern upbringing, as well as his studies of European and Japanese cuisines. His own personal cooking style is a combination of each. In his spare time he enjoys playing guitar, building furniture, and staying active.

Meet the Manager

Lisa Gould has spent twenty years in yachting, management and hospitality — giving her a unique perspective in bringing creativity and innovation to The Party Barn. Her mission is to ensure guests of The Party Barn leave their experience in awe — having created new, lasting memories with the people most important to them. She is thrilled by the notion that proceeds of The Party Barn go directly to The High Country Charitable Foundation and is proud to be a part of an organization doing such incredible philanthropic work.
